You should not lead your customer to home page
When a customer clicks on the ad, he should not land up on home page, where he would have to search for the product he is interested. Convey the information the customer wants

But we should also try to write text in such a way that it could be ranked higher in any search engine like Google or Yahoo or MSN. For achieving this, you may take help of SEO optimization techniques. The main ingredient for becoming successful in this effort is to intersperse your text with key words. The customers use these key words to locate sites like yours. Besides, making out a list yourself, there are tools like Wordtracker which would help you in this matter.
Testing of the site
It may be possible that the initial page design of your landing page would not bring you desired amount of traffic. You have to test your design and make changes so that you get more attention.
