How to Write Funny Best Man Speeches

If you have never written any funny best man speeches before, you might find it hard to write your first one. While there are people who were born with the blessing of making other people laugh, there are those who just can not seem to create their best and funniest words and ideas together. If you are one of those not-so-gifted people out there, this article might just give you some tips on how to write one.

In writing a funny best man speech, you can not come up with one unless you include a funny story about the groom. You can say how much of a funny man that he is and how he would go out of his way to make people laugh. You can give an example of some of his classic jokes too. Just remember to stay away from stories of the ex's and sex stories. It is fine to have any of these kinds of stories so long as you keep it brief. Remember to just keep the story short and safe. Mentioning of his ex-girlfriends' names is a big no-no too. In a way, just make it funny but discrete.

Aside from a funny story about your friend the groom, include his good qualities in your speech. You can also joke about some of his bad habits or qualities but make sure that they are not anything serious that may turn off the attendees, especially the bride and her family.

When writing a speech, make sure to also include the bride in your speech. Do not focus too much on the groom. You can also include a funny story about the bride but make it short and safe as well. Remember that the wedding day is the greatest day in a bride's life so do not ruin it.

In ending your speech, there is no better way than including everyones wishes for the couple and their soon-to-be family. You can always say your wishes in a funny way but make sure that your sincerity is still there.

One of the most common funny speech templates would usually tell you to begin your speech by warning the audience that you are nervous because it is your first time to ever deliver a best man speech. Remove those statements that the couple might not be able to relate too. More importantly, include something that really came from you. Use the template as a writing guide. Remember that a good best man speech is not entirely about being funny, it is about being meaningful as well.
